Rosberg Fastest in FP3 in Brazil

Nico Rosberg made it a clean sweep by finishing fastest in the final free practice session for the 2014 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.

The Mercedes due of Rosberg and Hamilton dominated the timesheets in FP3 ahead of qualifying, although the gap of 0.4s to Williams indicated that other teams have pegged them back slightly at the Interlagos Circuit.

Overall times were much faster in final practice than they’ve been so far this weekend, and Nico Rosberg’s best time was 1:10:446, with Hamilton just over a tenth of a second behind him.

Compared to the interruptions in Free Practice 2, the session was broadly trouble free as the teams got to grips with the circuit, and focused on qualifying set up ahead of this afternoon’s pole position shoot out.

Hamilton struggled a bit with the new surface of the track where he won the 2008 world championship.  He showed decent pace in each sector of the circuit but was unable to string together a full lap and show his full potential.

Further down the order, Raikkonen and Button both outpaced their teammates while Ricciardo once again finished ahead of struggling world champion Vettel in the Red Bull.
